28A Newmarket is a building that likely dates back to the 18th century and has been altered over time. It is a single storey structure with an attic, constructed of painted brick. The ground floor has two shop-type windows, both with glazing bars, one of which has a shallow bow. There are two entrances, although one is not in use, and both have near-flush frames. Newmarket is part of a significant central group of buildings located around the "island."
