Description
No. 14 is an early 18th century building located in Newmarket. It is two storeys high with an attic and features a gabled dormer with a barge board. The building is constructed of red brick and has two sash windows in flush frames, which now only have central glazing bars. The windows are topped with flat arches that include keystones. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there is a cove cornice at the eaves. The ground floor is used as a shop. Newmarket is significant for its central group of buildings, particularly those around the "island."
