Description

This is an early 19th-century building in Newmarket, part of a significant group of buildings around the central "island" area. It is two storeys high and constructed of brick, which has been painted. The front has two windows, each with sash glazing bars set within flush frames, topped by flat arches. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there is a distinctive toothed eaves band. An ornamental iron grille is located at the first floor above the shop windows below, which include a rounded corner to the north. The building possesses group value within the context of Newmarket's architectural heritage.
