Description
This is an early 18th century building comprising two properties, 8 and 9 Market Place, situated on the south side of the Market Place. It is a two-storey timber-framed structure, with roughcast render, a tiled roof of pantiles, and a brick plinth. The building has three windows, which are sash windows set in flush frames. Number 8 has a modern door within a recessed and solid frame. Number 9 has an original two-panel door; the upper panel is glazed to match the surrounding sash windows, and it is set back in a similar recessed surround. Properties 1 to 10 (inclusive), including St Keyne and The Social Club, form a group.
