Description

These are an early 18th-century pair of buildings on the south side of the Market Place. They are two storeys high and constructed with a timber frame, rendered to resemble ashlar and covered with a pantile roof. The building has five windows, with sash windows featuring glazing bars and flush frames. Number 5 has a gabled front. There are two 19th-century wooden bays at ground floor level, topped with an entablature. Number 5 features a six-panel door with architrave, while Number 4 has a four-panel door set within a wooden case. Numbers 1 to 10 Market Place, together with St Keyne and The Social Club, form a notable group.
