Description

The pound located approximately 400 meters south of Waveney Grange is likely from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and has a circular shape, with walls that stand about 1.5 meters high. The copings and gate are missing. This pound is set into a slope between two tracks along the main route from Somerleyton Marshes to Waveney Grange Farm. Circular pounds are uncommon, with another example found nearby at Blundeston.
