Description

Pond Cottages are a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century, situated on The Street in Somertonleyton. Constructed of red brick, the cottages have a pantiled roof. They are two storeys high with a symmetrical arrangement of two windows per cottage. Each window is a three-light mullion and transom casement, set beneath a segmental arch. Matching doorways feature four-panel doors, an eared architrave, a frieze, and a pedimented cornice. A central axial stack rises between the cottages. A Sun Insurance firemark, number 736463, is located centrally just below the eaves.
