Description
10 and 12 Malt Mill Lane are a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick and feature a brick dentil cornice. The cottages have an old tile roof and two brick internal stacks. The buildings have a double depth plan and rise to two storeys, presenting a four-window range. The entrances consist of plank doors with moulded wood surrounds and narrower segmental brick relieving arches. The door on the left leads to a passage that provides access to Nos. 6 and 10. The windows are wood and iron casements with glazing bars. No. 10 has a single window with a very long wood lintel, while No. 12 features two windows with segmental brick arches. The first-floor windows are adorned with painted wood lintels. At the rear, there are twin gables, and the ground floor has cross windows. The casements have glazing bars and segmental brick arches. The interior has not been inspected.
