Description
4 and 8 Malt Mill Lane is a house dating from the 16th century, which has been altered and restored between approximately 1972 and 1975. The building is timber framed, featuring some close studding on the jettied first floor, with lath and plaster infill. It has an old tile roof and a brick internal stack, and is designed in an L-plan layout. The left half of the ground floor opens up into a passage leading to the rear. Inside the passage, there are two entrances that have late 20th-century doors. The windows are also late 20th-century casements with leaded lights. A single bracket supports the wall plate. At the rear, the exposed framing is visible along with irregular late 20th-century window arrangements. The interior has not been inspected.
