Description

Steptoe's House is a house dating from the 16th century, which was restored in the mid-20th century. It features a large timber frame with arched braces on the first floor and roughcast infill, sitting on a base of 20th-century brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there is a brick internal stack located to the right of the center. The house is two stories high and has a three-bay range. There is a plank door leading to a lean-to porch on the left side. The windows show irregular placement, with 20th-century casements, except for a three-light wood mullion window located on the ground floor to the left of center. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have visible spine beams and joists.
