Description
Old Herriards is a house dating from the early 17th century, with an early 18th-century addition on the right side. The exterior is rendered, likely over timber-framing, and features 20th-century plain-tile hanging on the left. The roof is complex, made of old plain tiles and hipped to the left, with a brick stack at the right end. The building has a complex plan consisting of two blocks that join at right angles in a staggered manner. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a two-window range. To the left, there is a four-panelled door with a 20th-century open porch. The windows are arranged irregularly and include casements as well as wood mullion and transom windows. A gabled dormer with a two-light casement is located on the right. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
