Description

These are two cottages, originally a single house, dating to the middle of the 17th century, with additions made in the 19th century. The original section is timber-framed with rendered infill, and has a thatched, half-hipped roof. A brick ridge stack was added in the 20th century to the centre. The front of the original house has two floors and two windows, with an irregular arrangement of 19th-century casement windows. To the left of the original house is a two-storey addition constructed of painted brick with an old plain-tile roof that is half-hipped on its left side. This addition also has two floors and two windows, with 2-light casements. A plank door is positioned on the left side of this addition. To the right of the original house is a further painted brick addition, with brick to its right end, a plain-tile roof, and two floors and two windows, again featuring casement windows. The interiors of the cottages were not inspected.
