Description
41 Malt Mill Lane is a 17th-century cottage that underwent significant restoration between 1972 and 1975. It features a timber frame with plaster infill, although some of the timbers have been renewed. The cottage has a tiled roof and a brick external stack. It is designed with a two-unit plan and consists of one storey and an attic, which includes two renewed dormers. The entrance has a late 20th-century plank door with a hood supported by shaped brackets, and the windows are late 20th-century leaded light casements. The left end wall displays jowled posts, and the external stack has been reconstructed. The rear of the cottage reveals exposed framing, while the interior showcases exposed framing and a reconstructed inglenook.
