Description
Bank Cottages is a pair of cottages built in the late 18th century and in 1811. They are constructed of red brick and feature pantile roofs, with each cottage having a red brick stack on the right gable. The eaves are decorated with dentils. Both cottages are two storeys high and consist of two bays each, with the right cottage being lower than the left.
The left cottage has two Yorkshire sash windows under segmental arches on each floor, and between the floors is an ashlar plaque dated 1811. The right cottage, dating from the 18th century, has a doorway with a plank door and a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash window to the right, both under segmental arches. Above this is another single glazing bar Yorkshire sash window. At the rear of the left cottage, there is a lean-to extension.
