Description

Ducks Paddle Cottage is a former pair of estate workers' cottages that has been converted into a single house. It is dated 1772 on the west gable. The cottage is timber framed and plastered on a brick plinth, with part of the plasterwork designed to resemble ashlar. It features a thatched roof and is a single storey with an attic. The building has a four-window range, with three-light casements that include diamond leaded panes. There are two doorways, each with an original boarded door and a thatched hood supported by rough timber columns. The cottage also has two eyebrow dormers and an internal stack, along with a brick lean-to on the north side.
