Description
Craven Cottage is a former pair of cottages that has been converted into a single dwelling, dating from the late 18th century. The building features flint and render construction with a thatched roof. It is one storey high with an attic and has three windows. The roof is half-hipped, with the frame exposed in the gables and the eaves raised above the upper windows. The flint walls are complemented by brick quoins, and there are some cambered openings. The south side of the cottage is rendered, while the south end wall has brickwork and the north end wall features flint panels. The windows are casements, and there is a French door beneath a canopy. A former doorway has been filled with brickwork. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear.
