Description

Primrose Cottage and Dolphin Cottage form a terrace of three houses, dating from around 1740, with alterations and rear extensions added in 1982. The houses are built of brick, with a rendered and colourwashed exterior and a pantile roof. The arrangement is two storeys and five windows wide. Numbers 7 and 8 have modern doors alternating with modern windows on the ground floor, and three casement windows on the first floor, set within larger openings. Number 9 retains a more traditional appearance, featuring a central door flanked by eight-over-eight horned sash windows on either side, and two four-over-eight horned sashes on the first floor. A full-width raised band runs along the first floor. Inside Number 9, a winder staircase is visible beside a chimney stack.
