Description

This is a terrace of six houses located on St Margaret's Road in Lowestoft, built in the early 18th century but significantly altered in the 20th century. The houses are constructed from rendered and colourwashed brick, with roofs made of concrete tiles and pantiles. They are two storeys high, with each house featuring a door and a window on the ground floor, and a single window on the upper floor.

Number 20 has a 19th-century four-panelled door, while the other houses have late 20th-century doors. Number 20 also features 19th-century two-over-two horned sash windows on both floors, and number 10 has a similar sash window on the ground floor. The remaining windows in the terrace are late 20th-century casements. The roofs are gabled, with number 18 covered in pantiles, while the others have concrete tiles. Number 20 includes a flat-topped dormer.

The terrace has three 19th-century gault-brick chimney stacks and a red-brick stack on the west gable, which is internal to the rendered shaped gable. The rear elevation is generally similar to the front. Number 20 has a late 18th-century six-over-six sash window on the ground floor with exposed boxes beneath a segmental head, along with a 19th-century plank door. The rest of the details in the terrace are from the 20th century.
