Description

25 Church Street is a building dating from 1852, located on the southwest side of Church Street. The front block is from the 18th century, while the rear structure dates back to the 17th century and features a 17th-century oak door with moulded rails and styles. The building has three storeys and is timber framed, with a stucco finish that includes a band and eaves soffit, topped by a slate roof. The early 19th-century shop front is made of wood and includes consoles and an entablature, with central glazing bars. There are three sash windows with glazing bars and flush frames on both the first and second floors. The wood case of the shop front extends over a fielded door on the left, which has a plain square fanlight above it. The buildings numbered 1 to 25 (odd) form a group.
