Shops. Mid C19, with C16 or earlier rear wing and C20 alterations. Stucco; slate roof. 3 storeys; 3-window range: late C19 plain sashes, with architraves, and moulded pediments on scrolled consoles; 3/6 sashes over, with shouldered architraves and moulded hoods with pads; 4 Corinthian pilasters to frieze and dentilled cornice; balustrade with moulded stone coping. C20 shop fronts. The C19 roof of this building incorporates reused timbers of a C14/15 building including massive wall plate with mouldings and castellations, and 6 former moulded window mullions (possible C15) now serve as ceiling joists. To rear a timber-framed wing of C16 or earlier origin. INTERIOR (of wing): ground retains original richly moulded bridging beams and ceiling frame. 1st floor retains full studded ceiling frame and original plaster, fragmentary paintings to side frame timbers and infill panels. Original roof with wind braces. (RCHME).
