Description

20 and 21 High Town is a house that has been converted into building society offices. It dates from the early 18th century, with a cellar that dates back to around 1500. The exterior is made of painted brick in English bond. The building has three storeys and a cellar, featuring a four-window range with 20th-century 8/8 sash windows set under segmental arches on the first and second floors. There is a coped parapet on the roof, which is not visible, and a 20th-century shop front. Inside, the important cellar from around 1500 has a four-centred arched tunnel vault.
