Description
30 Church Street is a building dating from 1852, located on the northeast side of Church Street. The structure features elements from the early 18th century and has 17th-century timber-framed buildings at the rear. It is two storeys tall with an attic. The main section is constructed of red brick and includes two decorative bands, a plinth, and a parapet. There are five sash windows with flush frames and flat arches, and the centre of the façade has a slight projection with two windows on each side set at an obtuse angle. The central entrance features a six-panel door with an eared architrave, a frieze, and a pediment above it.
To the right, there is a lower two-storey wing that has two windows and mathematical tiles on the first floor that simulate red brick. The shop front, dating from around 1800, is made of wood and includes reeded pilasters, original small panes, and rounded corners leading to the central entrance. It features a "Gothic" pointed arch, a motif frieze, and a dentil cornice.
The buildings from numbers 2 to 30 on this side of the street form a cohesive group.
