Description

Peacock Farmhouse is an early 17th-century farmhouse with an L-shaped plan. It is timber framed, primarily covered in roughcast render, with the north face of the main range plastered. The roof is tiled and the building has two storeys plus an attic. The main wing features a three-window range on the south side, with three-light casements. The entrance is asymmetrical and includes a 19th-century porch made of brick with roughcast render and wavy bargeboards on the gables, leading to a modern half-glazed door. Each wing has a single gabled dormer adorned with wavy bargeboards and a tall spike finial. The main gables originally had similar bargeboarding, which is now incomplete. There are two internal stacks with rebuilt flues set diagonally, with four flues in the main wing and two in the service wing.
