Description

Lavender Cottage is an early 19th-century house located on Grange Road, Felixstowe. It is a painted brick building with a plaintiled roof, arranged in an L shape. The front facade has two storeys and a 1:3 bay arrangement, with the left-hand bay being lower and extending to the rear. Most windows are sash windows with glazing bars, with a central first-floor sash window being an exception. The central doorway features a six-panel door, a reeded architrave, and vine leaf motifs in the corners. A semicircular porch is supported by two octagonal columns and halved octagonal pilasters, topped with a wrought iron balcony. Internal brick stacks are situated at the left end of the main range and the left end of the side range.
