Description

Peewit Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier, with an 18th-century wing and later additions. It is timber-framed and plastered with colourwashed brick, featuring plaintile roofs. The house follows an L-shaped plan; the original 17th-century range may have had a lobby entrance plan or a central stack inserted later. The building is two storeys high, with windows irregularly placed. The windows are 20th-century casements fitted with leaded lights, those on the ground floor sitting beneath segmental arches. A plank door leads into the 17th-century range, accessed via a 20th-century porch.
