Description

The Coastguard Station, located on Langer Road in Felixstowe, is a Martello tower dating from around 1810 to 1812. It is constructed of gault brick with cement rendered stone dressings. The tower is round and features a flat roof, which supports the coastguard building above. The structure has three stages. The middle stage includes a doorway with a cambered head and loop openings, all framed with stone quoins and a keystone, while the loops are set beneath flat arches. Inside, the station retains original musket racks and powder stores.
