Description

Nos 15 and 17 on Old Market are 17th century or late 16th century buildings that have undergone alterations. They are two storeys tall and feature a timber frame with a steep, pantiled roof. The first floor overhangs, and both storeys are plastered, lined, and painted. The buildings have four windows, which are casements in flush frames, as well as three doors and a small shop window. They are adjacent to the return face of No 2 Northgate. All four sides of the Old Market contribute to its overall character, and these buildings are in a significant location near the town center. Nos 9 to 17 (odd) form a group with No 2 Northgate.
