Description
1 and 2 The Score is a 17th-century building with some earlier work and alterations. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring two windows that are three-light sashes with glazing bars. The construction is of brick and flint, topped with a pantile roof. Notably, part of the wall from St Peter's Church buildings survives here. Incorporated into the west wall is a well-designed cut flint cross fleury, set in brickwork, standing approximately 5 feet high on a base with three steps. The upper part of this gable wall once had crow stepping in flint, and the cross is located on the left side, about 8 feet up the wall, which has been extensively cut and patched. Inside, there are some interesting curved beams and panelling.
