Description

No 2 Northgate is an early 19th-century building made of painted red brick. It has two storeys and features two windows and a blank recess on the first floor, along with two windows on the south side facing Old Market Square. The windows are near-flush-frame sash types with glazing bars and cambered heads. The entrance has a cambered head and there are rounded corners with shop fronts on the ground floor to the south. The roof is slate. No 2 is part of a group with Nos 9 to 17 (odd) Old Market.
