Description

A row of three cottages, likely dating to the early 19th century, though reputedly with an earlier core. The cottages are built of red brick, with a colourwashed facade and a pantiled roof, featuring glazed black tiles towards the front. They are two storeys high and have four windows in total, each a small sash window with glazing bars set in flush frames, topped with flat arches. There are three doorways leading into the cottages. Number 64 has a six-panel door with reeded pilasters, a frieze decorated with Gothic ornament, and a cornice. Number 62 features a more recent half-glazed door set within panelled reveals, pilasters with herringbone reeding, a frieze with finely detailed carved Gothic ornament, and a cornice. Number 60 was once a shop, and the shop window has been removed. It possesses a 19th-century pair of panelled doors, pilasters, an enriched frieze, and a cornice.
