Description
Clematis Cottage is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame that is rendered and has a base of painted brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles and there is a red brick chimney stack. The cottage has two storeys and two window bays. The entrance is located on the right side and consists of a half-glazed door that is sheltered by a tiled bracketed hood. To the left, there is a canted bay with casement windows that have glazing bars in the upper panes, all under a tiled roof. The first floor also has similar casement windows. The eaves have a timber cornice, and the roof is swept and hipped to the right, with the chimney stack positioned to the left. The cottage is included in the listing for its group value. The interior has not been inspected.
