Description

Holly House, now subdivided into two dwellings, is likely of 17th-century origin, although it was significantly altered with a new facade in the early 19th century. The building is timber-framed and clad in white brick, with a plain tile roof and a red brick stack. It is two storeys high, with three first-floor windows. A half-glazed door is situated to the right, set within a fluted architrave and hood. To the left is a 16-pane sash window under a keyed wedge lintel, along with garage doors. A 20th-century casement window with glazing bars is present in No. 7, beneath a segmental arch, and a 20th-century glazed door sits to the left, under a cambered arch. The first floor features 12-pane sash windows in reveals with sills. A corniced stack is visible on the rear roof pitch. The building was formerly a police station. It is included on the list for its group value; the interior has not been inspected.
