Description

Valley House is a house from the early to mid-19th century, constructed of white brick with a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, with a recessed range on the left side. There is a flight of steps leading to a central entrance that features a Doric porch. The house has large 12-pane sash windows set in reveals, with sills beneath flat brick arches. The roof is overhanging and hipped, with corniced end stacks and a glazed central lantern. Valley House was originally built as the home of a mill owner. The interior is reported to have been remodelled after a fire in the early 20th century, but it has not been inspected.
