Description
Corner House is a house dating from the 16th century, with later alterations and additions. It is timber-framed and has a plain tile roof, along with a red brick stack. The building is two storeys high and has a one-and-a-half-bay lobby-entry hall range, featuring slightly projecting cross wings. There is a gabled addition set back on the left side, which runs parallel to the road. The exterior displays close studding and includes a six-panel door with glazed upper panels, set in a pilastered doorcase with a hood. The windows are 20th-century cross casements. The right cross wing is slightly wider than the left, and both cross wings have bargeboards on their gables. A ridge stack is present, but the interior has not been inspected. A plasterers date of 1596 was recorded by a former listing, although the plaster has since been removed.
