Description
This building is a cartlodge and granary located approximately 50 metres west of Argent Manor House, dating from the 18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a red pantiled roof. The structure consists of four bays, with the lower bays open to the east and featuring central support posts for each tie-beam. The tie-beams are heavily chamfered, and there are hanging knees supporting them. Carpenter's marks can be seen on the frame. The roof is constructed with side purlins. The granary is situated above the cartlodge and, although the bins have been removed, it was in use during living memory.
