Description

Hayden House and The Cottage are a pair of houses likely built in the early 18th century. They are plastered and feature a gable-ended pantile roof. The buildings are one storey high with an attic, and each has three gabled dormers that contain three-light casements, two of which have wooden moulded drips. The ground floor includes two and three-light casement windows and a sash window, all with wooden dripmoulds. The Cottage is distinguished by its pilastered doorcase topped with an entablature that has a dentilled cornice. A central brick chimney stack is present, and The Cottage also has a two-storeyed bay addition on its south end, which features an embattled parapet.
