Description

Number 7 (The Old Poorhouse) and Number 8 form a pair of houses dating to 1734. They have a plain tiled roof, end stacks, and a central stack towards the eaves. Two dormers are present: a flat-headed one to the left and a gabled one to the right. The houses are two storeys high, with attics and basements, and have a slightly irregular four-window front. Casement windows are present, some of which are sliding, with one single-glazing-bar sash window on the ground floor to the extreme right. A recessed door is located on the right, accessed by three steps and featuring fluted pilasters and an entablature hood. A boarded door is positioned to the left, beneath the left-hand ground-floor window.
