Description

The Church of St Mary is a parish church dating back to the 12th century, originally featuring a round tower which was topped with a 15th-century structure. The majority of the church was rebuilt during the 14th and 15th centuries, constructed from flint. It comprises a nave with a clerestory, a chancel, north and south aisles, and a south porch. The windows are predominantly of the Perpendicular style, with a large early Perpendicular east window. There are two 14th-century arcades, each spanning four bays. A 15th-century font is present, along with a 17th-century cover, a 17th-century pulpit, and an east window containing patterned glass incorporating elements from the 14th, 15th, and later periods. A monument from 1647 depicts Sir Edmund Reve and his wife.
