Description

Corfe Lodge is a 17th-century timber-framed house that has undergone alterations in the 18th and 19th centuries. The front of the property has been rendered with stucco, featuring chamfered quoins and two full-height pilasters. The roof is covered in black glazed pantiles with gabled ends, and it has wide eaves supported by paired brackets. The house has two storeys and three windows, each with moulded stucco architraves. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars; the ground floor windows have side lights, and the central first-floor window is a casement opening onto a balcony over the porch. The central porch has a modillion cornice, fluted pilasters, and a moulded round arch leading to a semi-circular fanlight and fielded panel door. A central brick chimney stack is also present.
