Description

Griffin Cottage is a timber-framed building, dated 1719, that was refronted in red brick during the 19th century. It has a steeply-pitched pantile roof with gable ends. The cottage is two storeys and has an attic. The front facade has three windows; the first floor windows are two-light casements with glazing bars, one featuring an oval panel displaying the date 1719. The ground floor windows are two- and three-light wood mullion/transom casements, and there is a fielded panel door within a moulded case. An attic window is located in the south gable end. Brick chimney stacks are present. A small, one-storey and attic plastered wing with a pantile roof extends from the rear.
