Description
The Angel Public House in Long Stratton probably dates to the 17th century. It was originally a row of cottages and has a timber-frame construction. The front façade has been re-faced with red brick, incorporating mock timber framing on the upper floor in the 20th century. The building is two storeys high with a pantile roof. The north end of the roof is steeply pitched, while the south end features black glazed pantiles. The building has approximately six windows; the first-floor windows are two-light casements, and the ground-floor windows are a mix of modern bar windows and a modern oak door. Brick chimney stacks are visible. The building is included on the list for its group value.
