Description

The premises occupied by A.E. Merrison, Grocer, date back to the 17th century but have been significantly altered in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building is timber-framed and features a gable-ended roof covered with black glazed pantiles. The front has been refaced with red and blue brick. It has three windows on the upper storey, which are double hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor shop, which projects out, has double bays with glazing bars and a central entrance.
