Description
This building is a garden cottage, dating from the 18th century and later. It is constructed of red brick, featuring English bond on the north wall and vitrified headers on the south and east walls. The cottage has a steep pantile roof and is one and a half storeys high. The south wall showcases 18th-century Flemish bond brickwork, with two and three-light casements that have transoms and segmental arches above the openings. There is an off-centre doorway to the west, which includes a six-panel door with glazed upper panels and a segmental fanlight above. A central gabled dormer features a three-light casement. The chimney stacks are located off-centre at the east end of the west gable. The building also has brick corner pilasters with moulded caps and bases, and both ground floor and first floor casements are present in the gables. This cottage is included for its group value.
