Description
The dovecote, located immediately east of Park Bungalow, is a Grade II listed structure dated 17 CG 69 on the door lintel. It is built of red brick with a plain tiled roof and has a hexagonal shape. The doorway is on the west side and features a pointed arched head with ventilation slats above a square-headed door frame. The entrance has a rubbed brick arch with a rendered keystone and a boarded and battened door. Square angle pilasters with plain caps and bases flank the doorway. There are pointed-arched openings with rubbed brick arches and slatted vents in the bays next to the door. A brick dentil eaves course runs along the roofline, which rises to a hexagonal cupola topped with a lead-covered ogee dome and a weather vane. Inside, there are brick nesting boxes on all sides, and the roof was entirely renewed around 1980. Park Bungalow is not listed.
