Description

The dovecote, built in the 18th century, is located to the north-west of the stable block at Chippenham Park. It has recently been restored and is constructed from local brown brick, featuring a hipped slate roof topped with an arched, wooden octagonal flight lantern. The dovecote has a square plan and a door that faces south-east. It includes a dentil brick cornice and the north-east wall has been rebuilt. Brick pigeon holes are intact on three sides, and there is an incomplete king post still in place.
