Description

This is an 18th-century cottage located on the east side of Main Street in Coveney. The end walls are constructed of red brick in English bond, while the front wall is rebuilt or cased with gault brick, also in English bond. The roof was originally thatched, but is now covered with tin, featuring end parapets, kneelers, and a gault brick ridge stack. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and includes two gable dormers. The front has three modern casement windows, but retains its original doorcase and a raised and fielded panelled door with flush lower panels. A rear wing, of a similar date, is constructed of brick with a parapetted and steeply pitched roof.
