Description

The Cottage at Vineleigh Farm is a 17th-century building that features a timber frame, with some red brick possibly replacing parts of the original framing. The brickwork has been painted. It has a steeply pitched roof, currently covered in corrugated iron, which likely still has its original rafters. There is a ridge stack with rebuilt upper courses and offsets between the shafts and the base, along with a later end stack. The cottage is one storey with an attic and includes two dormers. On the ground floor, there are three windows from the 18th to 19th centuries, each set under segmental arches. The rear wall still shows some of the original framing and wattle and daub infill.
