Description

This is a cottage dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame, subsequently plastered and encased in brick. The roof is thatched, with a half-hipped shape, and incorporates plain tiled gabled dormer windows and a surrounding roof structure. A tall red brick ridge stack is located to the right of the centre, featuring an indent at the angles of the diagonal shaft. The cottage has one storey and an attic, arranged with a three-unit lobby entry plan. A segmental brick arch frames the doorway, which has a boarded door. There are three ground floor windows, lacking glazing bars, and one casement dormer window.
