Description

No. 71 Abbey Street is a cottage that dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with plain tiled and pantiled roofs. The building has two storeys, along with a single storey rear wing. Notable features include a plastered plinth and a coved eaves cornice. The entrance boasts an 18th-century raised and fielded panelled door with a sealed window above it. There are two horizontal sliding sash windows on the ground floor and two on the first floor. This building was formerly known as the White Horse Inn.
