Description
The building is a cottage, likely originally two separate units, dating from the 18th century with alterations made in the mid-20th century; the left part may be from the 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish stretcher bond brick and features a thatched roof with brick ridge and left end stacks. The cottage has a two-unit layout that has been extended to a three-unit plan. It is one storey high with an attic and has a two-window range.
On the left, there is a 20th-century ribbed door that has a hood supported by iron brackets. To the right, there are two large 20th-century four-light canted bay windows with leaded lights and flat roofs. The casement windows, which include two lights with a segmental arch to the left and three and two lights in the swept dormers, have glazing bars. Inside, there are run-out chamfered ceiling beams and back-to-back open fireplaces. The building is included for its group value.
